We may still be feeling summery temperatures at our home-base in California, but this styled shoot is making us want to throw on a pair of boots, red lipstick and a cozy sweater! Inspired by the colors of autumn and wanting to stray away from popular palettes of neutrals + pastels, the team behind this moody editorial focused on dark + rich hues: sun-baked brick, onyx black, cranberry and tarnished gold. Planner Tiffany Pritchett of Hart & Co Events found Loray Mill — an old textile mill just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina — and knew she had to highlight it. The building was recently renovated into a mixed residential/event space and it features exposed brick walls, and tons of natural light through giant windows. Tiffany shares I’ve wanted to work with Oregon based designer Elizabeth Dye for so long and I knew her ‘Furiosa’ would be the perfect gown to build this shoot around. (Who says you have to get married in a white dress, right?) We carried the black over into the tabletop design, with the matte plates and slate linen napkins. I immediately asked Sarah Pascutti if she’d like to photograph the styled shoot, and before I even finished explaining the concept – she said yes!
